  • Salary: £9.50 per hour
  • Part-time: 20hrs week Monday to Friday (8.00 am – 12 noon)
  • Contract: Permanent

About Us:

Camphill Milton Keynes Communities is a charity providing unique person-centred support, based on a modern view of the Camphill movement, for adults with learning disabilities and autism. We support our service users in all aspects of their daily lives and believe that each person should be valued for their unique contribution to the community.

As a Camphill Milton Keynes Communities employee you will be working in with the Bakery Workshop.

About the Role:

You will work in Artisan bakery supporting residents to make a range of bakery and bread products for sale in our café and for CMKC. You will support the resident, and volunteer team and provide high quality activities and training for adults with learning disabilities and Autism.

You will also ensure that a high standard of work is maintained and the working environment in the Workshop is safe, secure and healthy.

You will play a key role in enabling people to achieve their goals and aspirations through hand tools refurbishing and upcycling activities.

Ideally you will have previous experience in hand made real bread making, a passion for producing sweet baked goods have an eye for detail and a desire to learn then teach others, working with people with a range of abilities.

Good all-round skills in a commercial kitchen environment using a steam bread oven and the ability to share practical skills and knowledge is essential. You will also have good numeracy, literacy and IT skills.

The most important thing is a caring attitude, genuine interest in people and willingness to work in accordance with our Mission and Vision Statement.
