About the Role:

Support workers (social care workers) play a key role in enabling residents to achieve their goals and aspirations through their ongoing development. The duties are varied, and no two days are the same. As a general guide your duties may include support with personal care needs and medication as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support resident’s health and wellbeing such as cooking, arts and crafts, trampolining, gardening or going for walks. We are recruiting for two young men living in their own home in Milton Keynes who live with autism. Both have recently joined us from educational settings and are now being supported to develop their independence alongside a regular schedule of activities they enjoy. Both are calm, friendly young men who benefit from a kind, consistent and patient approach.

It is important that you can demonstrate a flexible approach to work as you will be required to cover a weekly rota, which includes evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and Bank holidays. Experience working with adults with autism is advantageous but not essential.
