About Us:
Camphill Milton Keynes Communities is a charity providing unique person-centred support, based on a modern view of the Camphill movement, for adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions, as well as a number of people living in the Milton Keynes area who have a learning disability.
About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Education to GCSE level standard or equivalent, including English
- Experience of working on payroll
- Experience working in an office environment, in a finance role
- Experience of working with cloud-based payroll and accounts software
- Experience in record keeping
- Experience of working as a team
- Good written and oral communication skills
Knowledge & Skills:
- Effective knowledge and understanding of payroll processes and systems
- Effective knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
- Experience in payroll entry and support
- Working knowledge of cloud-based payroll and accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Access
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office programmes such as Word and Excel
- Good keyboard and IT skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting rota and clocking in systems, including production of reports for payroll overtime and bank hours
- Input starters, leavers, and contract changes to the payroll system
- Manage pension scheme administration
- Manage payroll documentation such as payslips, P60s and P45s
- Produce payroll reports for management
- Manage petty cash claims weekly
- Assist the Finance team as and when required
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Ability to work under pressure with the flexibility to adapt quickly to varying workloads
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, faxing & emailing
Staff Training & Personal Development:
- Participate in supervision and staff appraisal
- Attend staff meetings when required
- Participate in ongoing in-house and external training and professional and personal development activities
General:
- Build a professional working relationship with residents, colleagues and relevant professionals
- Represent CMKC in a positive and professional manner
- Adhere to the confidentiality procedure
- Comply with CMKC and social care workers (GSCC) Codes of Practice
- Comply with CMKC policies and procedures
- To work in accordance with CMKC mission and vision statements and statement of values
- Able to work on own initiative and under direction
- High attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to organise a large amount of information that changes regularly
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- Basic awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities
