Thank You to our Christmas Jumper Jaunters!

We had a wonderful Sunday morning at our Christmas Jumper Jaunt. What a great turnout, considering the temperamental weather conditions.

Our Christmas Jumper Jaunt raised over £1368 for our charity!

We want to say a huge thanks to the award-winning superstars at the Redway Runners who volunteered their time and expertise to help organise the routes.

Our residents and the daring public took to the red ways in a 5km run and a 1-mile walk. Two of our residents, Steve and Tamsin, took on the 5k, and finished in a very respectable 40 mins and 44 mins respectively. The event was followed by much-needed hot chocolate and mince pies. All runners also received a handmade medal made by our pottery team.

The Mayor of Milton Keynes launched the event and said some lovely words, and we want to thank all the brilliant volunteers and, of course, the festive jaunters. You were all amazing!

Our resident Helen had lots of fun taking part, and well done to everyone in Blackthorn House who jaunted and kept smiling despite the rain. Everyone reached the finish line and our resident Clare, was rightfully super proud of her medal.

Date for 2025 will be announced in January.
