A Celebration of Creativity and Craft – MK Gallery

Our Craft Workshop has an exhibition at the MK Gallery café, running now until the end of February. ​

We invite you to explore a vibrant world shaped by imagination, skill, and authentic self-expression. Our artists have produced 24 artworks. The collection brings together an inspiring selection of artworks created within the Weavery, Pottery, and Arts & Crafts Workshops at Camphill Milton Keynes Communities.

Here, creativity reveals itself in many forms; the bold colours, delicate lines, and invention found across painting, drawing, sculpture, and sewn works. Each piece reflects the distinct voice of its maker. Some artists have shared individual insights into their creative process, allowing visitors to trace the journey from initial idea to finished artwork. These behind-the-scenes glimpses celebrate experimentation, dedication, and the joy of making and can be viewed via the QR codes available on selected works.

At Camphill Milton Keynes Communities, the purpose of our creative workshops is to encourage and support individuals to explore their talents, grow in confidence, and develop their identities as artists. Every artwork displayed in this collection is a testament to personal growth and the celebration that emerges when people are supported to express themselves.

Our relationship with MK Gallery extends and enriches this mission. Together, we have collaborated through project work and the co-development of sensory tours in 2025, designed to make exhibitions more accessible and meaningful to a wider range of visitors. Our handwoven textiles and ceramic pieces are also featured and sold in the MK Gallery shop, further connecting our Camphill Artists with the public.

This exhibition is an invitation to celebrate the artist, showcase an individual’s artistic journey, and appreciate the many ways creativity can flourish when a community makes space for it to grow.
