The Disappearing Castle Panto
We thoroughly enjoyed The Disappearing Castle panto by our Performing Arts Workshop (PAW).
They presented a brilliant pantomime—a hilarious play with witty jokes kick-starting the festive season.
The Disappearing Castle was written by Andrew Mooney, one of our creative writing and centre-stage participants. It was the first time one of our participants had written a full-length play that we had been able to bring to the stage. We are so proud of Andrew’s achievement in writing a full-length show performed in our community as part of festive celebrations.
Here’s the synopsis:
When the King gets so carried away planning a party that he forgets to invite his best friend, Adviser Andrew, all chaos breaks loose when Andrew calls on the help of the Bad Fairy, Gloria. Will the King ever see his castle and his family again? Will the Dame Ladle ever prepare the feast, and will Gloria ever be good? We indeed found out!
Well done to everyone involved, from Andrew’s play to the brilliant performers and our hardworking backstage crew.
Guests thoroughly enjoyed the show!
