Thank You To Our Abseil Team!
A team of 14 brave individuals, including the Mayor of Milton Keynes, James Lancaster, took part in a charity abseil for Camphill MK on Saturday, 13th September.
They embarked on a vast 400ft tower at The National Lift Tower in Northampton to raise essential funds for adults with learning disabilities and autism.
We want to extend our thanks to all 14 abseilers for their bravery and dedication. They have all done so well with fundraising, with over £9000 (inc. Gift Aid) raised so far!
Our fundraising page will be open until the end of October – so there is still time to give.

Here’s what some of the abseil teams have said about the experience:
Mayor of MK, James Lancaster, said, “I honestly cannot believe I got to do this! I’ve never been a fan of heights. I was feeling great on the build-up until I got close and saw the huge site at Northampton Abseil Tower – 400 feet !!! The brave souls who came down with me doing this, and I couldn’t be prouder, it was all for Camphill MK – my chosen charity for the year!”
Gamiel Yafai (MBE) said, “I was literally roped into abseiling down a 400-foot tower to raise valuable funds for Camphill MK Communities, filling in at the last minute for someone who had to drop out. I want to thank YAMAHA MUSIC EUROPE GMBH (UK) for their generous donation and for pushing me forward to fill the gap.”
Marc Davies, from Marc Davies Bespoke Interiors, said, “I’m doing something stupid for charity again. Camphill MK does so much amazing work for adults with learning disabilities. 100% of the donation goes straight to them.”
