Volunteers Week 2025

It’s Volunteers’ Week – 2nd – 8th June

This week is Volunteer’s Week, June 2nd—8th, and we’re celebrating our amazing volunteers! We’re deeply grateful for the significant contributions of ALL the volunteers who have supported our charity since the 1980s. Their dedication has made a profound difference, and we’re excited to inspire more wonderful folks to join us in making an impact.

We are also very proud of our residents, who too are volunteers in the local Milton Keynes community. Here are ust a few. Resident Caroline volunteers at Off The Record MK. The not-for-profit indie record store is a gem! It is run by music lovers to raise funds for Willen Hospice Milton Keynes. Our resident Tamsin makes beautiful tote bags for the Baby Basics MK charity. The bags will be filled with clothes or toiletries and given to local families that need a little help. So far, Tamsin has made a whopping 28 bags for Baby Basics MK on the sewing machine. We’re so proud of her for giving back to the local community. Resident Stephen, who volunteers at Branch-out mk CIC in Wolverton. They aim to encourage positive emotional, mental, and physical health & wellbeing through gardening.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to society and help others, and it makes you feel great. You can learn new skills or share your own, meet great new people, and make a huge difference. Our volunteers are essential to our community and help us support more adults with learning disabilities and autism. They help in many different ways, too!

What Our Volunteers Say

Lainey: “I volunteer for Camphill Milton Keynes to make a positive impact and contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all. Plus, they make the best bread.”

Olivia: “I volunteer for Camphill Community because the work and support they give to their residents are amazing. I love that I can contribute to this brilliant charity.”

Thank you to all our volunteers, past, present and future!

Volunteering at Camphill MK

We welcome individuals and groups to volunteer with us in various ways. You can become a regular volunteer within our workshops or community, come along with a group of colleagues for full—or half-day projects, or support our events team on an ad hoc basis.

Find out more HERE.

Events & Adhoc Volunteering

You could support us by attending events in the wider community, manning a stall, collecting donations, or just sharing stories of Camphill’s good work.

Workshop/Community Volunteering

You could drive our residents from A to B or assist teaching in our Tech Lab, Newsletter, Gardens, Café, Drama, Chrysalis Theatre, and Arts and Crafts Workshops. Individuals often bring their unique skills but also seek to gain experience in certain areas, increase their friendship groups, and help those in their community.

Discover more about our workshops here.

Corporate Volunteering/CSR Days

We welcome teams of volunteers to support us in many ways. Often, staff teams join our gardening team to tend to our Roundhouse Gardens, planting or harvesting the next crop to feed our residents or supply the café. We also welcome support looking after our theatre or benefiting from any specialist skills your business might be able to offer, i.e., digital ambassadors, marketing and design work, etc.

We have several well-appointed meeting rooms with Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and a flexible layout. Hire you our fully equipped theatre and conferencing spaces, or welcome specialist staff members to help us enhance the business.
