Ultra MMA Fundraising Challenge

Our wonderful Garden Workshop team member, Shaun, is embarking on another incredibly personal challenge. He’s taking on another Ultra MMA bout to raise vital funds for Camphill MK.

Shaun is stepping into the cage as part of Ultra MMA, a series of glamorous black-tie charity events held across the UK. After weeks of intense, disciplined training, participants test their strength, resilience, and determination in an unforgettable night of fights — all in support of great causes.

Through a rigorous, well-regulated Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) training programme, Shaun has committed to improving both his physical and mental health. This life-changing experience promotes discipline, confidence, and positive values, while also giving Shaun the opportunity to give back to a charity that means a great deal to him: Camphill MK.

Shaun said, “I have trained in martial arts for a few years, but very casually. I’m taking on the MMA challenge as a chance to push myself physically and mentally out of my comfort zone. Training for the event has had a great positive effect on my physical health but also my mental health, which can be a struggle sometimes. My chosen charity is Camphill, where I’m very fortunate to work. Camphill is a truly vibrant community, that has welcomed me with open arms and accepted me as family.”

Shaun will be taking part in the event at Planet Ice, Milton Keynes, on Saturday, 28th November.

You can support Shaun by donating via his GiveStar page, or come along on the day and cheer him on by purchasing a ticket.

Every donation, every ticket, and every cheer makes a difference — thank you for supporting Shaun and Camphill MK on this amazing journey!
