Morissons Foundation Grant

Last year the team at Morrisons Foundation selected Camphill MK to receive a significant grant to support our charity. The Foundation Team granted £21,730 so we could replace our broken stage lift in the Chrysalis Theatre Milton Keynes.

The theatre is a valued asset in enabling community gatherings (assemblies, community-wide lunches, sports days etc.), performances, and skills development through drama-based workshops. We also hire the space externally for workshops, gatherings, classes, communities, performances and rehearsals, which generates valuable income.

Once the lift was installed, the theatre went into immediate action with a community-wide ‘Punked Panto’ with all residents being able to be involved on-stage. The lift fits in with the aesthetics of the building perfectly and offers access that everyone should be entitled to.
