Silent Disco – Monday 8th April

On 8th April 2024, we’re hosting a Spectrum Soiree Silent Disco and announcing the winner of our Autism Awareness logo redesign competition. And you’re all invited!

Let’s come together to make a difference and celebrate diversity and raise awareness for Autism through a sensory-friendly atmosphere.

When: Monday 8th April.

Dress code: Fancy dress encouraged but optional.

Where: Chrysalis Theatre, Japonica Ln, Milton Keynes, MK15 9JY.

Time: 6:30pm-8:30 pm.

ENTRY: £3 (non-residents).

The disco will be slightly different from our usual booming discos but, instead, be more inclusive of those with other sensory needs. 

Silent Disco features:

• Sensory-Friendly Atmosphere: Wireless headphones allow residents to control their audio levels, creating a comfortable and personalised experience. This minimises sensory overload and ensures everyone can enjoy the music without overwhelming stimuli.

• Inclusive Participation: Silent Discos foster an inclusive environment by offering residents the choice to dance or enjoy the music at their own pace. It encourages diverse forms of participation, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for everyone.

• Social Connection: By removing the reliance on traditional loudspeakers, Silent Discos provide a quieter, more intimate setting, fostering social interactions. This setup allows residents to engage in conversations and connect with others without the challenges often associated with noisy environments.
