Vote for Tim Davies – SME MK & Buckinghamshire Business Awards Business Leader 2026
Vote for our CEO, Tim Davies, as the Business Leader 2026 in the SME MK & Buckinghamshire Business Awards.
Over twelve years ago, when Tim Davies joined Camphill Milton Keynes as CEO, the charity supported 40 residents and employed a team of 15 staff. Today, it is a thriving £5m organisation supporting more than double that number of people with learning disabilities and autism to live, learn and work as part of an inclusive community, employing around 150 people from the local area.
Over the past year, Tim has led one of the most ambitious projects in Camphill MK’s history — developing new purpose-built accessible homes in response to the national shortage of safe, appropriate housing for disabled adults. Under his leadership, £3.3 million has been secured to create homes that will enable people with complex needs to live with dignity, independence and long-term security, right here in Milton Keynes. Affording people a home that changes around them as their needs progress, rather than needing to move on to more institutional care settings.
Alongside this major capital programme, Tim has modernised the organisation — introducing digital care, Staff support and fundraising platforms that improve safety, compliance and efficiency, freeing staff to focus on what matters most: relationships and care and the core values of the charity.
Beyond Camphill MK, Tim represents the voluntary sector on Milton Keynes City Council’s Joint Leadership Team and the Health & Care Partnership Board, supports the MK Disability Advisory group, and chairs the Association of Camphill Communities in England and Wales, which supports peer organisations nationally through change and growth.
Despite these responsibilities, Tim remains deeply involved in everyday community life — DJing at resident discos, spending time with residents and taking part in the annual Swimathon alongside the people Camphill MK supports.
Under Tim’s leadership, Camphill MK has grown turnover by 20% in two years, while 98% of staff say they enjoy coming to work.
If you believe in inclusive communities and strong local leadership, please support Tim by voting for Business Leader 2026.
