Christmas Jumper Jaunt Success
What a great way to kick off the festivities than a festive jaunt!
Well done to everyone – our residents, support workers, staff, their families, and everyone who came along to do the 1 mile and 5km ‘jaunt’ and raise funds for our community.
It was an incredibly fun (& chilly) morning, but everyone had a great time. We want to thank the Mayor and Mayoress of Milton Keynes for starting each race. It was an honour to welcome them again.
In total, 26 people ran 5km (a cumulative 130km), and 55 ran 1 mile (55 miles, including 26 residents), a total of 218km run!
286,089 steps jumped, hopped, walked, and ran, and 81 people aged between 3 and 68 joined.
That’s 14630 Christmas calories burnt and banked (one mince pie = 219 calories or one sprout = 43 Calories)
Both routes started and finished at Camphill MK, in Willen Park and each participant received a handmade medal made in our pottery.
What’s even more fantastic is that the Jumper Jaunt reaised almost £1,500 for our charity!
Afterwards, we enjoyed refreshments made in our onsite cafe, including warm drinks, soft drinks, and mince pies.
Thank you, everyone! You are all amazing!
