Spring Awakening – A Poem by Lucie P.

Our in-house poet, Lucie P., recently wrote this rather beautiful poem.

Yes, things globally and nationally aren’t looking good, and our residents, unfortunately, have to suffer more restrictions yet, but it isn’t all doom and gloom!

As Lucie elegantly and poetically points out – Spring is awakening. Amid all the crises, nature ebbs and flows continuously, joyously and flawlessly, unaffected by the troubles of this human world.

Listen to Lucie reciting her poem, complemented with BSL by George C., or ckick here to watch on Vimeo.

Here is Lucie’s full poem!

Spring Awakening – Let There Be Life

I remember those sweet spring memories

As I glide against the swaying grass

While lambs bleat and daffodils blossom

As new life begins to grow from hour to hour

Badgers and hedgehogs come out of hibernation

And the beauty within begins to grow

As the undying meadow comes to life

Reaching others with endless power

This is the spring image that I recall

Poem by Lucie P, BSL by George C
