The Parks Trust Photo Shoot

The Parks Trust invited our Newsletter Group to a photo shoot at the Floodplain Forest Nature Reserve located between Old Wolverton and Cosgrove.

Ellie, who gave us several guided accessibility walks, invited Colin to provide us with a guided walk. Colin has worked for The Parks Trust for over 30 years and knows the parks and their animal and plant residents inside out. He taught us how to spot owls, how they maintained the ponies, how to keep invasive species under control, etc. We were really amazed by the richness of wildlife in the park and the unbelievable work put in to make the park natural, healthy and beautiful.

After the photoshoot, we ate our packed lunch in a bird hide and immersed ourselves in the panoramic view and bird chirping. Then we walked over the Iron Trunk Aqueduct into the village and found a pub called the Barley Mew, rested and enjoyed a lovely drink.

Thanks to our super-star volunteer Norman for running us around, Ellie for organising this lovely walk, Colin for sharing his knowledge and Kelly for taking professional photos.
