Freddie Wish Fish

Another Wish Fish Comes True!

Jaki helped Feddie to achieve one of his goals on his Wish Fish list. Freddie loves to watch all things transport-related and engineering, and last year, when he was watching steam engines on YouTube, she told him that she’d take him one day. He liked the sound of that!

The gang visited Whitwell Steam and Agricultural Fair in Codicote, Herts. It was a brilliant day out! There was a whole field of vehicles, craft stalls, and demonstrations of tractors, steam engines, classic cars and static engines of all sizes. There was a merry-go-round, a few small fairground rides, all powered by steam, and a large and impressive musical organ.

Apart from the steam engines and tractors, which paraded onto and around the main arena, the highlight for Freddie was the motorbike stunt riders. They performed amazing feats, including jumping over other vehicles, and the leading rider gave an amusing and informative running commentary. Freddie got to meet and speak with him after his show.

Along with fellow resident Tamsin, they had a perfect day! Jaki said, “It was a privilege to help Freddie achieve one of his wishes.”
